Google is putting an end to the development of "smart" weapon systems

Google has assured that it no longer intends to use artificial intelligence to develop 'intelligent' weapon systems or human rights abusive systems.

CEO Sunart Pinchai, presenting Google's policy and principles on artificial intelligence technologies, said "we will continue to work with governments and the military in many other areas" such as cyber-security, research and rescue, selection of new personnel from the army, etc.

The US company has recently received strong criticism from even 4,600 workers who have signed a protest against a contract concluded last year with the US Pentagon concerning the integration of artificial intelligence into the Maven Program, military drones to better recognize their ground targets. This $ 10 million contract will not be renewed after March 2019 expires.

The company's seven principles for implementing artificial intelligence include exploiting the latter "to help people deal with urgent problems" such as fire prediction, diagnosis and disease cure.

"How artificial intelligence develops and uses will have a significant impact on society for many years. As leaders in this field, we feel deeply responsible for doing it right, "Pincai said, according to French and Reuters.

As he said, Google's Artificial Intelligence programs will be designed to be "socially beneficial", as well as "avoid creating or enhancing unjust prejudices" or "harming", which includes "weapons or other technologies that can cause harm to people. "

On the other hand, a Google representative has recognized that applying these principles in practice will not be easy because the company is not able to monitor the use of its software tools by everyone, as some of them anyone can Downloaded for free from the internet.

HUAWEI Y7 Prime 2018: Entry-level device, high-end user experience

How would it look like your device has a performance comparable to top smartphones when you play games, video streaming or taking photos?

Is your mobile still old to run some apps? Does the memory fail, the screen is "freezing" and the Android version is obsolete? Why not enjoy the self-evident, a smooth user experience? Why not have a good device that can offer them all?

The smooth user experience depends on both hardware and software. A powerful device is the key to a top-of-the-line experience. In other words, the more the core of a processor, the more powerful a device is. The larger the memory, the faster the functions are. On the other hand, a sophisticated, optimized software provides better resource, space and application management in the background, allowing the user to enjoy even more the use of the device.

It's true that many financial devices now have eight-core processors - but be careful because they're not as strong as you think. Regarding memory, for example, the combination of 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM is the most common one, though there are exceptions as the competition devices come with 3GB RAM and 16GB ROM. Different material, however, means a different user experience.

Software is vital to the performance of a device. Therefore, the fact that many financial devices do not have the latest version of Android OS and carry, for example, Android 7.0, Android 7.1 and even devices that are available with an even older version, is rather negative. In conclusion, we summarize that entry-level category hardware and software are unable to offer the user experience that most would like.

So Huawei is changing the data. Confirming its leading role in the smartphones market and driven by its significant successes in the category of high-end models, it is through its ongoing research and development to offer equally stunning user experience in mid and low-range categories. The HUAWEI Y7 Prime (2018) features an eight-core processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM, combined with the Android 8.0, EMUI 8.0-based, offering an extremely smooth and comfortable user experience.

Stronger processor, more memory, better performance

Applications are constantly evolving, with their operations becoming more sophisticated over time. Even if the system remains the same, its processor and memory requirements are increasing. Strong competition has pushed the hardware of Android devices to a different level: the eight-core processors are now everywhere, and memory is getting more and more, which sets the foundation for a stunning user experience.

The HUAWEI Y7 Prime 2018 is equipped with the MSM8937, an energy-efficient eight-core processor, framed by 3 GB RAM and 32 GB ROM, making parallel application simpler. The state-of-the-art processor and the remarkable memory are the ideal recipe for offering a memorable experience streaming music and video, web browsing and of course playing games.

With the latest (8.0) Android version

Google wont be inspired to name the different versions of Android OS from ... food. Almost all have the name and a treat: Android 5.0 is called lollipop (lollipop), 6.0 marshmallow, 7.0 nougat and 8.0 Oreo (cookie nobody?).

Huawei used the ... sweetest of all, Android 8.0 on its financial devices faster than other manufacturers of the competition. New arrival in the category, the HUAWEI Y7 Prime 2018 is no exception as it is yet another device that will delight users.

Building on the progress of Android 6 and 7, Android 8.0 even more efficiently handles the applications running in the background. Thus, the battery life is increased as unused applications are disabled in order to return to operation when the user needs it again. In practice, therefore, energy consumption decreases without the removal of services / functions or the need to change habits by the user. Thanks to Android 8.0, the phone runs faster.

Enhanced EMUI 8.0 for Smarter User Experience

In addition to the strongest hardware and the latest version of the software, another key factor for a smooth user experience is the further optimization of the entire system. Here is where the research and development department of the particular manufacturer is invited to show its value, and Huawei, as a key player in the Android market, has the way to improve the functional. Every premium model from HUAWEI Mate 9, then, is born and remains fast, offering a stunning user experience even after 18 months.

Huawei's EMUI 8.0 is based on Android 8.0, but it's much better - after a broad customization process. Its collaboration with eight-core processors is impeccable, as it takes full advantage of its power - hardware completes software and vice versa. In addition, thanks to its engineering learning algorithms, the device learns the behavior and habits of the user, ensuring better performance.

EMUI 8.0 comes with a latest generation file management system, reducing data fragmentation and allowing the HUAWEI Y7 Prime 2018 to maintain its speed in the long run. Thanks to EMUI 8.0, the HUAWEI Y7 Prime 2018 will give consumers a smoother and better quality experience. Unlike other manufacturers, Huawei has used superior hardware and better software in its financial devices, making premium experiences a prerogative of everyone. With the advent of the HUAWEI Y7 Prime 2018, comfortable surfing, high-resolution streaming and top-performing gaming will be available for everyone.

Google & Your Website - A Blind Alliance

Assume you have a website "onlineshopperdotcom" and when you search it on Google with keywords "online shopper website" you might get a sneak peek on the page results of your website and other websites relating to your keyword. That's quite universal as we all urge to have our websites searched and indexed by Google. This is quite common for all e-commerce websites.

A. Your website "onlineshopperdotcom" is directly allied with Google.

B. Your website & your web server (where you have all usernames & passwords saved) are directly allied with each other.

C. Alarmingly, Google is indirectly allied to your web server.

You might be convinced that this is normal and may not expect a phishing attack using Google to retrieve any information from your web server. Now given a second thought, instead of searching "online shopper website" on Google, what if I search "online shopper website usernames and passwords", will Google be able to give the list of usernames and passwords for online shopper website? As a security consultant, the answer will be "MAYBE, SOMETIMES!", but if you use Google dorks (proper keywords for accessing Google), the answer will be a big "YES!" if your website ends up with mislaid security configurations.

Google Dorks can be intimidating.

Google pops in as a serving guardian until you see the other side of it. Google may have answers to all your queries, but you need to frame your questions properly and that's where GOOGLE DORKS pitches in. It's not a complicated software to install, execute and wait for results, instead it's a combination of keywords (intitle, inurl, site, intext, allinurl etc) with which you can access Google to get what you are exactly after.

For example, your objective is to download pdf documents related to JAVA, the normal Google search will be "java pdf document free download" (free is a mandatory keyword without which any Google search is not complete). But when you use Google dorks, your search will be "filetype: pdf intext: java". Now with these keywords, Google will understand what exactly you are looking for than your previous search. Also, you will get more accurate results. That seems promising for an effective Google search.

However, attackers can use these keyword searches for a very different purpose - to steal/extract information from your website/server. Now assuming I need usernames and passwords which are cached in servers, I can use a simple query like this. "filetype:xls passwords site: in", this will give you Google results of cached contents from different websites in India which have usernames and passwords saved in it. It is as simple as that. In relation to online shopper website, if I use a query "filetype:xls passwords inurl:onlineshopper.com" the results might dismay anyone. In simple terms, your private or sensitive information will be available on the internet, not because someone hacked your information but because Google was able to retrieve it free of cost.

How to prevent this?

The file named "robots.txt" (often referred to as web robots, wanderers, crawlers, spiders) is a program that can traverse the web automatically. Many search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo use robots.txt to scan websites and extract information.

robots.txt is a file that gives permission to search engines what to access & what not to access from the website. It is a kind of control you have over search engines. Configuring Google dorks isn't rocket science, you need to know which information to be allowed and not allowed in search engines. Sample configuration of robots.txt will look like this.

Allow: /website-contents

Disallow: /user-details

Disallow: /admin-details

Sadly, these robots.txt configurations are often missed or configured inappropriately by website designers. Shockingly, most of the government & college websites in India are prone to this attack, revealing all sensitive information about their websites. With malware, remote attacks, botnets & other types of high-end threats flooding the internet, Google dork can be more threatening since it requires a working internet connection in any device to retrieve any sensitive information. This doesn't end with retrieving sensitive information alone, using Google dorks anyone can access vulnerable CCTV cameras, modems, mail usernames, passwords and online order details just by searching Google.

era is an unavoidable necessity that has opened the expectant and lengthy predicted coronary heart of the universe to interesting and amusing innovations. It has constantly dared to be at the leading edge and forefront of innovations, technical creativity and a novelty at its peak. One would almost not find a single enterprise that has now not been inspired through era. absolutely, era is the cruise of this era.

but, programming languages as an thing of technology are huge and to select preferred ones as the maximum famous amongst one hundred of similarly popular ones is, absolute confidence, a very difficult and hard element to do, knowing fully well that such picks ought to be finished carefully and most significantly, by being unsentimental. beneath are the lists of the maximum popular technology:

Java language

Java programming language has been at the top chart because its introduction in the '90s. most the sector's renowned agencies use Java to construct their mobile and laptop apps and also their webs. further, Java can run nearly on all structures. Wow! that is huge! also, they are the most famous language for Android gadgets. Little surprise why Android applications are Java-primarily based constructed. The lengthy-time and reputedly a82ee8a4ee179e54beacaecce0423cb2 rendition of languages can run with out pressure on it because newer variations have introduced. What a programming language Java is! This simple feature of Java has and could continually placed a grin at the customers face as they will not should bother themselves with any code rewrite once newer versions of Java are out.

"C" language

"C" programming language is likewise a popular programming language. always, it's miles one the oldest programming languages which have been followed by using era's big brands inclusive of Apple, Microsoft, Oracle and many more. on this present age, there's infrequently a thing that we employ technologically, this programming language has not motivated that. The "C" programming language possesses qualities that enable it to work, without a 2d idea, for operating systems and also systems that are hidden. more so, it is amongst the first maximum popular programming languages nowadays.

Python language

Python programming language is exclusive in a manner. It has a preventing spirit of consistency and stability, thereby, suffering its way out to be at the pinnacle of the chart. remarkable! curiously, python is a significant and enormous language in some very relevant technology on this present point in time. Cyber-security is one essential software of this age, and it will tickle you to know that Python runs it. it is used as a preliminary software for novices at our tertiary institutions for learning and additionally, synthetic brainpower.

How to choose an Online Payment Solution and our choice

The payment provider is chosen based on many different criteria. Some of these are the service availability in the country where your bank account is, costs of a transaction, monthly fees, the costs of integration, and whether it resolves sales tax issues or allows for integration with some other well-known payment solutions. Many of these questions must be answered by You the client. Stripe is our preferred choice as it had excellent API capabilities. This article will use Stripe as its payment processor of choice.

Best Practices for payment providers

Retry if transaction did not succeeded
The transaction might fail not only due to technical reasons but sometimes insufficient funds might be the reason. You should retry processing the transaction between an hour to couple of days later.

Know when your CC will expire
Some of the card details will expire or their data will no longer be valid for various reasons. When you do not have valid CC data charging the customer will not be possible. The major card schemes offer a service that lets you check if there are any updates pending for the customer data that you store. Some of the online payment solutions will even update card information for you. Stripe will do this for the majority of MasterCard, Discover, and Visa cards. Not only CC.

Be aware that in some parts of the world people are not willing to pay with their Credit Card
The best example of this is China when Alipay is the main payment source. It is worth noting that not all clients are happy giving away their card details so using a well-known payment method helps to increase the completion rate of potential transactions. Stripe also supports Alipay for China and for Europe Giropay, iDEAL

We would like to have PayPal
Sometimes clients just want to use PayPal as they are familiar with the brand. Don't be stubborn - Stripe will help to maximize your profit. Stripe and Paypal are direct competitors there is no integration between them.

Best practices while using the Stripe payment process

PCI compliance with Stripe

Most users become PCI compliant by filling in the Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) provided by the PCI Security Standards Council. The type of SAQ depends on how you collect card data. The simplest method of PCI validation is SAQ A. The fastest way to become PCI compliant with Stripe is to make sure you qualify for a prefilled SEQ A. If so Stripe will fill the SEQ A for you and will make it available for you to download to your account's compliance settings after the first 20 or so transactions. The way to achieve this is as follows:

- Use the Embedded form called Checkout, Stripe.js and Elements (it offers better layout customization then Checkout). You can use react-stripe-elements which uses Stripe.js API or Stripe mobile SDK libraries. When you're using react-native go with tipsi-stripe. ipsi-stripe bindings are not officially supported by Stripe so support will not officially tell you that they qualify for prefilled SEQ-A compliance - but they do.

- If you are using web serve your payments pages should use HTTPS.

In all those cases data is securely transmitted directly to Stripe without it passing through your servers. When you choose the fastest way you will not have to do anything more. It is as simple as this until you reach 6 million transactions per year then you will have to fill a Report on Compliance to validate your PCI compliance annually.

Prepare for technical failure - Idempotency key
If you are using API to take payments you must prepare for a technical failure as all networks are unreliable. If failure happens wit is not always possible to know if a charge was made or not. In the case of a network failure you should retry the transaction. The Idempotency key is a prevention mechanism against charging a customer twice. If for some reason you submitted the payment twice - which may occur due to retrying operations after a failure. In Stripes node lib you just add it to options parameter while charging. Each Idempotency key will time out after 24 hours so after that time if you make a payment with the same Idempotency key you will charge the client.

Stripe charges in cents not dollars
Online payment solutions like PayPal charge in dollars rather than cents. But that in Stripes all charges are made in smallest currency unit. This is not only the case regarding dollars, Stripes does it for all currencies.

Test

Stripe provides many card numbers for you to test different scenarios on the frontend and tokens so you could directly test your backend. For example you can not only test Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and JCB Cards but also international cards and 3D Secure Cards. Stripe also provides you with tokens so you can test failure scenarios like a charge being declined, or a charge being blocked because its fraudulent, an expired card, or a processing error. So you will be prepared for everything that can happen when you go live.

Do not put JSON in description - Use metadata

Be descriptive as you can. Metadata is your friend. You can enrich your Stripe transaction with custom data so you can then view it in the dashboard. For example you can add things like customer_id or the shipping_id in metadata so there is no reason to pollute your transaction description.

Should I collect more data?

The bare minimum to collect from a CC is its number, CVV and expiry date but you can collect more. You can also collect the zip code / CC holder name / address for Address Verification System (AVS). If you collect them it will increase payment security because the fraud prevention algorithms will have more data and will be able to react more accurately. However, from the user perspective it's more data to type - which is not always good. Customers are only human and sometimes make mistakes when entering data which can also cause some transactions to be rejected. So you must decide on how much data you need and what will work best for you and your income. Equally banks will sometimes reject payments with a 'do not honor' status and you will have to contact your customer so they can ask their bank about the reason (high level of recent activity on a card, a lack of matching AVS information, a card being over its limit, or a range of other reasons which only the bank will know).

A Stripe Payout Example

Collecting CC data - (tokenization explanation and an example)

For collecting CC data we can use Checkout, Stripe.js elements lib, react Stripe elements lib which utilizes Stripe js, mobile libs, and react native tipisi-stripe. Checkout offers a selection of forms to collect data with, while other methods require you to craft your own custom form. The process of safely collecting CC data using a payment provider is called tokenization as we are exchanging all the sensitive data for a short-lived data token. And that is all that tokenization is about. This token can later be used for making a one-time charge of a customer or for creating a customer (See section below). The following example will focus on the simplest method of tokenization called Checkout. When using checkout we have two options, either simple and custom. Let's look into the code.

Checkout simple option
In checkout simple option everything is provided for you from a selection of options. All you need to do is to embed the following code into your webpage:

Now let's see what we can do with the token on the backend

Charging the customer - an example
The token goes on the backend. Let's use node to create a customer and then charge them based on a returned customer id for when the need arises.

import stripeModule from 'stripe';
import config from '../config/config';
import logger from '../log';

class StripeService {
constructor() {
const { stripe } = config();
this.stripe = stripeModule(stripe.secretKey);
}

createCustomer(stripeToken, email) {
logger.info(`creating customer ${email}`);
return this.stripe.customers.create({
email,
source: stripeToken,
});
}

This will return the token but remember to handle the errors that arise. If response succeeds just look for id that belongs to the customer and save it for later use. You will use the customer id to charge the user. Let's see how to do this:

chargeCustomer(customerId, amount, desc, idempotencyKey) {
return this.stripe.charges.create({
amount,
currency: 'usd',
customer: customerId,
description: desc,
}, {
idempotency_key: idempotencyKey,
});
}

Is that all? Yes but please remember about being prepared for failures and retries when needed.

Signing up to events - an example

Stripe can update the client CC if it is expired and this works for most MasterCard, Discover, and Visa cards. How is that possible?- Stripe works with card networks and automatically tries to update card details whenever a customer receives a new card. When the card information is updated you will receive a webhook with an event as follows: "customer.source.updated." You can also sign up to be informed before an expiration date with the event "customer.source.expiring." Webhook is a general way to sign up to various events that will be produced by Stripe. You will be called by them in a push manner so you don't have to pull for information and all you have to do is expose a webhook. If you are only interested in card payments when using Stripe webhooks are not required. Webhooks are configured in the webhooks settings section of the Dashboard, where you can add a new URL for receiving webhooks. Logic for webhook should be idempotent and the webhook signature should be verified.
